Grace: from and to eternity

First, let me apologize for the tardiness of this post. As I was preparing the lesson yesterday, I discovered that our internet connection had stopped working and it just came back online today. In the future, for sake of having a set schedule, expect the questions to be posted by Tuesday morning at 8:00, though most updates will be here by Monday evening.

Also, a housekeeping note: any quotations I use on this site are from the English Standard Version (ESV) unless I say otherwise.

With that said: Our study for Thursday the 11th will focus on Ephesians 1:3-14. We will briefly look at Paul's introduction and greeting, then spend the majority of our time looking at the verses leading up to verse 14. As you read and prepare for the study, please consider the following:

1. What does Paul mean when he says in verse 4 that God "chose us in him?"

2. Why did God choose us?

3. What does Paul mean when he speaks of an inheritance that God has for his church (vv.11, 14)?
